Refund Policy
General Conditions, Cancellations & Legal Disclaimer
All refunds—whether for down payments or monthly payments—are subject to the terms outlined in the customer’s service agreement, including cancellation provisions, claim history, and state-specific regulations. Certain jurisdictions may require prorated refunds or impose additional consumer rights, and we comply with all applicable laws in the states in which we operate.
Legal Disclaimer: The explanations and information provided in this Refund Policy are intended as general and high-level guidance and do not constitute legal advice. Refund obligations may vary depending on jurisdiction, contract terms, and regulatory requirements. You should not rely solely on this policy as a substitute for legal counsel. We recommend consulting with a qualified attorney to ensure your Refund Policy fully complies with all applicable federal and state laws and aligns with your specific business practices.
Down Payment Refunds
Customers may request a refund of their initial down payment within the applicable cancellation period as outlined in their service agreement. Approved down payment refunds will be processed within thirty (30) days from the date of a recorded request. A “recorded request” is defined as either (a) a cancellation request made directly with a customer service representative via telephone, which is logged and documented in our system, or (b) a written request submitted via email, mail, or other verifiable communication method. Refund eligibility may be subject to administrative fees, claims activity, or other conditions as defined in the customer’s agreement.
Monthly Payment Refunds (Third-Party Billing)
Monthly payments made toward your policy are typically financed through a third-party billing or finance company. As such, refunds for monthly payments are not issued directly by us, but instead are governed by the terms and conditions of the applicable finance agreement. Any request for refund, cancellation, or adjustment of monthly payments must be directed to the finance company servicing your account. Refunds, if applicable, will be calculated based on earned versus unearned premium, administrative costs, and any claims paid. These practices are generally subject to applicable federal and state consumer protection laws, including but not limited to the Truth in Lending Act and Electronic Fund Transfer Act, which govern billing disclosures and electronic payment authorizations.
